Château Manoir du Gravoux is located in Saint-Genès de Castillon, along the borders of Saint-Emilion, and neighbours to Classified Growths like Valandraud, Faugères, Mangot, Péby-Faugères, etc. The terroir is made up of fine clay resting on limestone rock, mixed with decomposed limestone in the form of tuffeau and molassic clays, ideal for producing structured, elegant, and distinctive Merlot wines.

Le Secret du Manoir is the grand vin of the estate, a very limited-quantity produce (less than 3000 bottles per year) from a one-hectare parcel of the oldest vines (at least 80 years old) on the plateau. The vinification process is distinctive, as it is done with whole berries, with manual punching to ensure a gentle and precise extraction. This wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 30% new, 30% one-wine barrels, and 30% two-wine barrels.

This wine presents a great balance, combining power, indulgence, and length, with vibrant energy reflected in its freshness and silky texture. The tannins, elegant and delicately chalky, is distinguished by a subtly saline finish which is signature of the terroir. Made to be accessible from its release, it offers a fruity and fresh experience in its youth. However, with great cellaring potential, you can expect the wine to evolve beautifully in its structure and complexity as it ages. Definitely a Bordeaux wine worth your penny!
