This second wine, produced by Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, is strongly characterised by its high proportion of Merlot. At the same time, the cabernet sauvignon gives the wine its structure and very “Pauillac” character. It is also very fruity, with lovely precision on the palate. This is a particularly delightful wine, with a wonderful structure and fine, elegant tannins. A perfect introduction to the mythical domaine of Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. This 2009 vintage is considered one of the blockbuster year in Bordeaux.
